As training and technical assistance (T/TA) coordinator for the Southwest Resource Team, Wanda coordinates T/TA services for the Southwest service area. She works closely with the Southwest team to provide resources to states and tribes that support and strengthen T/TA. She is responsible for the quality management of T/TA materials, webinar training, and web portal creation and maintenance for the region. She serves as a T/TA specialist to First Nations Community Health Source and the Pueblo of Acoma.
She brings to the field of prevention over 14 years’ experience and education ranging from program planning and implementation to training development and delivery. Her favorite training to deliver—Ethics!
Wanda’s commitment to the professionalism of the prevention workforce through training and certification is a priority and passion. As the current prevention chair for the New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals, she works with board members and others to make prevention credentialing accessible and valuable across the state. She also serves on the prevention committee of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium to support prevention at the national and international level.
