As the fiscal and administrative coordinator for the CAPT’s Core Administrative Team, LaShawn is responsible for monitoring the Vendor Consulting Agreement system for CAPT services, providing logistics and technical support to cohort and national events, as well as assisting with travel arrangements and Request for Proposal procurement processes. To do this, she works with staff across the CAPT system to facilitate the processing of paperwork and implementation of protocols necessary to provide services to SAMHSA prevention grantees.
LaShawn brings diverse experience working in university, government, and corporate service settings in administrative, operations, analyst, and office management capacities. She previously served as the administrative coordinator for the CAPT’s Southeast Resource Team and served as an administrative assistant and then program operations specialist for the Georgia Department of Human Resources’ Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Addictive Diseases (SAMHSA grantee). LaShawn earned her M.S. in management with a human resource concentration, a M.Ed. in counseling and psychology, and B.S. in psychology all from Troy University.
