This webinar, brought to you from The Arc’s Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Prevention Project and The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), is part of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Webinar Series and will highlight common media misconceptions about alcohol use during pregnancy, provide a clinical overview of FASD, and discuss the role of medical home providers in identifying and managing children with an FASD.

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Define the types of FASDs
  • Dispel major myths related to alcohol consumption during pregnancy
  • Recognize the role of the media in perpetuating myths about alcohol consumption during pregnancy
  • State the role of the medical home in identification and management related to FASDs
