  • "College Courses for Substance Abuse Prevention" brochure, a compilation of syllabi for courses that can be used in higher education prevention minors/programs.
  • "Creando Comunidadas Sanas" pamphlet, a Spanish language version of "Developing Healthy Communities: A Risk and Protective Factor Approach to Preventing Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse."
  • "Community Readiness" pamphlet, a publication addressing the nine stages of community readiness and strategies to improve a community's readiness for prevention.
  • "Developing Healthy Communities: A Risk and Protective Factor Approach to Preventing Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse," a pamphlet with information about research-based risk and protective factors. (Please note that since this publication was created, an additional risk factor of "gang involvement" was added to the list and the risk factor of "early and persistent anti-social behavior" was moved to the individual/peer domain.   • "How to Make Prevention More Powerful," a brochure for those who are new to the field of prevention. It offers insight into what research tells us works and what doesn't work, along with action steps for each research finding.
  • "Identifying and Selecting Evidence-Based Interventions: Guidance Document for the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant Program," a CSAP publication describing the categories of evidence-based strategies and providing guidance on selecting appropriate evidence-based strategies for implementation.   • "Prevention Terminologies," a document created for the California Prevention Collaborative workgroup focused on moving research to practice. For other helpful prevention terminology, please visit the Prevention Platform at http://preventionplatform.samhsa.gov/ and click on the glossary link.
  • "Smoke-Free Work Sites: Top Ten Financial Benefits to Employers, " a one-page document to share with employers on the financial benefits of having smoke-free workplace policies.
  • "Substance Abuse Prevention Research Findings," pamphlet with a summary of research findings divided in individual, family, peer, school, community and society/environmental domains.
  • "Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training," a curriculum developed to introduce beginning prevention professionals to the fundamentals of prevention. A copy of the curriculum is not available online at this time. The curriculum is currently being reviewed for clearance by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).
  • "Talking to Your Kids about Alcohol," pamphlet for parents in English, Russian and Spanish.
