Training Overview

Youth Empowerment

Youth empowerment begins with sharing the power.

Target Audience:
Youth ministers, educators, youth group leaders—those who are already working with youth.
 
Training Objectives:
Participants will increase their skill base in order to:
  1. Develop a process for enhancing youth leadership skills.
  2. Learn how to understand what the youth substance abuse issues are in the community and possible effective approaches.
  3. Support youth in sharing leadership successes and failures of youth-focused initiatives.
Format:
Socratic. The time is designed for maximum cross-pollination between participants with the use of small and large group exercises.
 
Number of Participants:
15-25
 
Time Frame:
8 hours
