Training Overview

Evaluation: Creating Successful Youth and Adult Partnerships

Target Audience:
This workshop is for prevention practitioners who work with young people or are thinking about incorporating young people into an existing program. Participants will gain insight on how to foster and create better partnerships with youth. This workshop will provide tangible and immediate tools that can make building youth partnerships much easier.
 
Training Objectives:
This workshop will focus on five key areas:
  1. How to create a youth-friendly environment where participants can thrive.
  2. Effective communication methods.
  3. Meeting places and scheduling.
  4. Managing youth partnership logistics.
  5. Games and activities that can bridge the age gap.
Format:
Lecture/discussion, group activity work, some physical activity (low energy interactive learning games)
 
Number of Participants:
40 Maximum
 
Time Frame:
2-3 hours
