Logic Models: The Roadmap to Outcomes That Will Make a Difference

Logic models are the key to effective strategic planning and achieving targeted outcomes. Make sure your prevention resources are targeted most effectively by learning how to develop a logic model that establishes the logical connections between needs identified among your target population, the interventions you select, and the outcomes you are seeking. This workshop presents conceptual considerations in developing logic models, practice with logic model development, and considerations of how to use logic models as a strategic planning tool and a tool for developing an outcome evaluation plan.

Target Audience:
Prevention coalitions, program implementers, and program developers.
 
Training Objectives:
This workshop will cover:
  1. Discovering what a logic model is.
  2. Learning the benefits of developing and using logic models.
  3. Developing a programmatic theory of change to guide logic model development.
  4. Practicing the development and critique of a logic model.
  5. Using a logic model to guide strategic planning.
  6. Using a logic model to guide evaluation planning.
Format:
Lecture/Presentation with discussion and/or individual and group work.
