Training Overview

Conflict Resolution

This training will provide the opportunity for participants to understand and approach conflicts in organizations, teams, coalitions, among individuals, and in the community in general, as opportunities for personal and system-wide growth. Topics include: myths around conflict, conflict stages, styles in conflict management, and constructive conflict resolution.

Target Audience:
Teams, coalitions, community and faith-based organizations, school personnel, counselors, social workers, parent groups, management staff, and any other individual or group interested in strengthening working relationships and interactions.
 
Training Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
  1. Revise their ideas and attitudes about conflict.
  2. Describe conflict stages and ways to handle each stage.
  3. Describe styles of conflict management.
  4. Explore alternatives to create a safe environment for constructive conflict resolution.
Format:
Combination of lecture and interactive group activities.
 
Number of Participants:
15-20
 
Time Frame:
2.5–4 hrs. Timeframe will depend on the training format.
