Training Overview
Board Development
The premise of this training is that the boards are the engine of the
coalition.

| Coalitions considering 501(c)3 status, Substance Abuse Preventionist |

| Training Objectives: |
Participants will increase their skill base in order to:
- Develop an orientation process and manual that provides the members
with the
framework necessary to accomplish the work of the board.
- Differentiate the roles and deliverables of a board and a coalition.
- Differentiate the skill set needed for a board member from that
of a coalition
member.

| Socratic with extensive group work in creating board member skills
sets, orientation process and orientation manual. |
