State by State Impaired Driving Fact Sheets

State-by-State Impaired Driving Cost Fact Sheets have been developed by Dexter Taylor, Ph.D., Ted R. Miller, Ph.D., and Kenya L. Cox, M.A., of the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE), 2002. Included in these state-by-state fact sheets are information about the number and estimated costs of impaired driving incidents, and estimates of savings to be derived from impaired driving prevention measures within states. The estimates were produced under a contract with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The information and opinions presented are attributable to the authors alone and may not represent the official views of the sponsoring agency.
