Cohort V SPF SIG New Grantees Meeting in Washington, DC

On March 21-23, SAMHSA/CSAP convened the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG) New Grantees Meeting (Cohort V) in Washington, D.C. CAPT staff from across the country attended, delivering presentations and facilitating discussions on SPF implementation and epidemiology. Parallel break-out sessions addressed implementation issues specific to States and Tribes. Other sessions addressed related topics, such as:

  • Using epidemiological data to prioritize prevention problems;
  • Logic model development;
  • Available training and technical assistance resources;
  • CSAP’s guidance document Identifying and Selecting Evidence-Based Interventions [1]; and
  • Grantee-level data collection.

Representatives from SAMHSA's CAPT included Principle Investigator and Chief of Data and Evaluation Wayne Harding, Chief of Epidemiology Craig Love, and Epidemiologist Carol Hagen.
