Serving as the Southwest Resource Team State/Tribe liaison to New Mexico, Texas, Acoma Pueblo, and First Nations Community Health Source, Wanda continues her enthusiastic efforts to provide and support effective substance abuse prevention services, as she has for over 13 years. She brings to the field of prevention experience and education ranging from grassroots community building and planning to training development, program implementation, and evaluation.
Wanda’s commitment to the professionalism of the prevention workforce through training and certification is a priority and passion. As the current prevention chair for the New Mexico Credentialing Board for Behavioral Health Professionals, she works with board members and others to make prevention credentialing accessible and valuable across the State. She also serves on the Prevention Committee of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium to support prevention at the national and international levels.
