Valda Grinbergs

As Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) Coordinator for SAMSHA’s CAPT, Valda coordinates the planning and implementation of national and regional events, including editing and producing training and meeting materials. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing the submission of T/TA requests to SAMSHA for review and approval, resolving related follow-up issues, and working with the systems communications team to ensure consistency of material design and content across regions.

Valda has worked at Education Development Center, Inc. since 1988 — in its international division, its Center for Science Education, and finally, for SAMSHA’s Northeast CAPT. She has a B.A. in Germanic studies from Boston College and a M.Ed. in International Education Development from Boston University. She has also held leadership and teaching positions at the Boston Latvian School and directs winter and summer camps at the Latvian Church Camp of New York.
