Linda Barovier

In her role as coordinator for the Northeast Resource Team, Linda works closely with grantees from across the service area to develop State training and technical assistance (T/TA) work plans. She coordinates the work of Northeast staff and CAPT associates/consultants as well as the delivery of T/TA to the service area’s 11 States. Previously, Linda served as assistant coordinator for the CAPT’s Northeast Resource Team.

Linda brings extensive experience in substance abuse prevention and criminal justice program management to SAMHSA’s CAPT. She served as program manager for Rhode Island’s Strategic Prevention Framework and State Incentive Grants; before that she worked as a community coalition coordinator in the State. She was also a social casework supervisor for the Rhode Island Office of the Public Defender, a victim advocacy program coordinator at the Rhode Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and assistant project director for The Circle, Inc. She has an M.S. and B.S. in criminal justice from American University in Washington, D.C.
