Northeast Resource Team

As the Associate Coordinator for the Northeast Service Area, Gisela is responsible for coordinating training and technical assistance to grantees as they seek to reduce the impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. This includes working with grantees to prepare and implement State service plans, managing CAPT associates who deliver T/TA services, and as needed, delivering TA services to the grantees to whom she is assigned. Gisela also participates in the Northeast Resource Team’s Management Team as core management personnel.

Prior to joining the CAPT, Gisela worked in local Massachusetts communities funded by SPF SIG, block grant, and federal dollars. Her specific exppertise includes developing social marketing campaigns, managing award-winning training programs, providing technical assistance to other community coalitions, and developing cross-sector partnerships. She also has experience working in HIV/AIDS prevention programs, youth programming, and international relations. She received her BA in Political Science-International Relations from the University of Maryland at College Park and her Master of Science in Gender and Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
