Eric Ohlson

As the West Resource Team’s Service to Science (STS) Lead, Eric is responsible for organizing the delivery of training and technical assistance (T/TA) for programs participating in the STS Initiative. He works to ensure effective T/TA for participants by recruiting and supporting strong evaluation consultants, collaborating with each of the CAPT STS regions to strengthen the delivery of STS T/TA, facilitating the project application process, and promoting awareness of the initiative among prevention leaders to encourage the participation of innovative substance abuse prevention programs.

Eric is also the Coalition Coordinator for Join Together Northern Nevada, a substance abuse prevention coalition located in Washoe County, Nevada, where he focuses on community engagement, strategic planning, and evaluation. His professional background is in school social work and administration with an emphasis on school safety, truancy intervention, and student assistance programs. Eric earned his school administration credential from San Jose State University, an M.S.W. from San Diego State University, and a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
