As Lead Instructional Designer for SAMHSA’s CAPT, Emily designs and develops products including self-paced online courses, webinars, research briefs, and fact sheets on such topics as substance abuse, the SPF, and epidemiology. She also manages their production and contributes to research, writing, editing, and programming.
In her six years at EDC, Emily has developed a wide range of products, including six online courses on such topics as strategic planning, sustainability, entrepreneurship education, and information sharing; an online library of culturally-based practices; and a guidance document on substance abuse prevention. She also provided technical assistance to a tribe implementing a substance abuse program. Emily brings experience working on a variety of public health topics, including mental health and school-based health promotion. Prior to working at EDC, she worked with public health organizations specializing in HIV/AIDS and diabetes in Washington, DC and Boston.
Emily received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development from Cornell University.
