As a Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) provider for the Southeast Resource Team, Deirdre is responsible for developing and providing T/TA that accurately reflects the science of prevention and meets the evolving needs of States and Territories in Southeastern U.S. Deirdre brings extensive experience in training, technical assistance, and coaching to her work. She strives to make the services she provides lively, relevant, and compelling. She has worked in social services and public health since 1988 in many roles: case manager, counselor, T/TA provider, and project director. She has experience in prevention, HIV/AIDS, sustainability, and transformational change. In addition to her work with SAMHSA's CAPT, she has a Life, Career and Wellness Coaching practice. When not working, she’s likely to be gardening, ballroom dancing or planning her next travel adventure. Deirdre earned her M.S.W. with a health concentration and M.P.H. in maternal and child health from Tulane University.
