How to Conduct Town Hall Meetings
Regional trainings about Town Hall Meetings were held in Boston, Massachusetts and Reno, Nevada in January with two objectives in mind—1) to help local community coalitions convene underage drinking prevention town hall meetings in the Spring of 2006, and 2) to promote the local use of new “Start Talking Before they Start Drinking” public service announcements (PSAs) developed in collaboration with the Ad Council, originator of public service campaign slogans such as “the mind is a terrible thing to waste” and “friends don’t let friends drive drunk.”  The regional trainings have been condensed into two Webcasts to help local community coalitions and other organizations across the country that want to get involved in these efforts. Both Webcasts are available at www.stopalcoholabuse.gov/.

Workshop Results From Activities:
- Survival kits
- Planning a town hall meeting brainstorming
- Acrostic TOWNHALL activity
