Day 5

While not everyone will have time or funding to create a full-fledged social marketing campaign, many of you may already be using the techniques of social marketing—analyzing an audience, creating an exchange of benefits for a behavior, testing a message—in your prevention efforts.

Thinking about what you have learned about social marketing over the last three days:

  1. How have you already used the techniques of social marketing in your prevention initiatives? Give at least one example.

  2. Which of the steps described in the course presentation did you use? How would using others have improved your results?

  3. If you are new to prevention, how might you use some of these steps in your upcoming work?

Please post your ideas to the Message Board. Be sure to read what the other participants are saying, and respond to their ideas.

You have completed your work for today.
See you tomorrow!
