This resource corresponds to Module 5.
- On the first page of the note, record the
date and location of the group, the names of the leader, the
note-taker, and the participants (first names only). You may
also want to note any information about the individual participants
that will help you identify their voices on the recording (such
as accents, very deep or very high voices, etc.).
- On the top of each page of notes, record the
date and page number.
- Clearly indicate where the discussion of each
major question begins.
- Indicate where a new audiotape begins (e.g.,
Tape 1, Side A). This will help reconcile the notes with the
audiotapes. Don't forget to label the audiotapes in the same
way.
- Identify each speaker by name. Begin a new
speaker on a separate line of notes.
- Record comments verbatim (if possible).
