Welcome! We are very glad that you have joined our group of online learners. This activity has two parts. Please read through both sets of questions, then post your reponses on the Message Board.

First, it would be helpful to get to know a little bit about one another. Please write a few sentences that answer these questions:

• What is your name?
• What agency or organization do you work for, and what is your role there?
• What do you hope to get out of this training?
• What is one thing you do for fun on the weekend?

Next, please use the Day 1 course material to help you answer these questions:

1. What examples from the research presented might you use to demonstrate the link between prevention and academic success?
   
   
2. How have you made the link between prevention and academic success in your school?

After you have answered the questions, please review and respond to the comments made by your fellow participants. Do you agree with their responses? Disagree? Need clarification? Post your feedback to the Message Board. Then come back and visit regularly—others may have posed questions to you!
