Dr. Wayne Harding, Ed.M,
Ph.D.

Dr. Wayne Harding joins
CSAP's Northeast CAPT as the principal evaluator. He was a founder of and
is Director of Projects for Social Science Research and Evaluation, Inc.,
a research firm located in Burlington, Massachusetts. He holds academic
positions as a lecturer on psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, The Cambridge
Hospital, Cambridge, MA; and as faculty member of the Zinberg Center for
Addiction Studies, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. He received
an A.B. in sociology from Brandeis University, an Ed.M. in education and
social policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Ph.D.
in alcohol and social policy research from Florence Heller Graduate School
for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare, Brandeis University.
Dr. Harding has over 25 years of experience conducting both basic and
applied research. He has been a principal or co-principal investigator
on grants and/or contracts from local agencies, state agencies, foundations,
and from such federal agencies as The National Institute on Drug Abuse,
The National Institute on Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse, The National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration, The National Institute on Mental
Health, the Veteran's Administration, the National Institute of Justice,
and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). Dr. Harding has
authored or co-authored over 60 research reports and had made over 100
presentations about his work at national and regional conferences, colleges,
community meetings, and in other settings.
