Stamatakos

Korene Stamatakos is a research assistant at CSAP’s Northeast CAPT.
Her role at the CAPT is to provide technical assistance and contribute
to materials development, supporting the work of state and local prevention
practitioners in the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based
substance abuse prevention efforts. Her work includes writing original
materials including case studies related to effective prevention practices,
conducting literature searches and obtaining articles, and reviewing and
summarizing research literature and best practices in specific areas.
Ms. Stamatakos earned her BA in psychology from the University of Rhode
Island. Prior to coming to EDC, Ms. Stamatakos worked with Rhode Island’s
Strategic Prevention Framework, State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG), assisting
in the training and support of the grant’s minority workgroup.
She also worked as a research assistant on the Tobacco Control Enhancement
Project (TCEP), collaborating with graduate assistants in providing technical
assistance to diverse community-based organizations and the Rhode Island
Department of Health. She earned her BA in psychology from the University
of Rhode Island.
