Matt Myers

As an associate/trainer with the Northeast CAPT, Matt Myers, M.S. has co-designed and conducted Strategic Prevention Framework trainings in several eastern states including Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland and Pennsylvania. He has worked in the prevention and education fields since 1988. He is an Associate and Certified Trainer with Global Learning Partners of Toronto Canada for whom he facilitates four-day workshops across the country on how to teach adults using Dialogue Education.

Mr. Myers has served on several statewide and local boards such as the Governor’s Alcohol/Drug Advisory Council, the Vermont Tobacco Review and Evaluation Board, the Vermont State Incentive Grant advisory council, The Woodbury College Community Prevention Program and Vermont Prevention Institute Consultation Team.

Most recently, Mr. Myers served as the assistant division director for Safe and Healthy Schools at the Vermont Department of Education where he oversaw statewide Safe and Drug Free Schools and Tobacco Prevention Grant programs. Prior to that, he established a highly successful, statewide school-based tobacco use prevention program for the department and a nationally recognized peer-facilitated alcohol awareness program at Johnson State College.
