This checklist is intended to heighten the awareness and sensitivity of personnel to the importance of cultural diversity and cultural competence in human service settings. It provides concrete examples of the kinds of values and practices that foster such an environment. There is no answer key with correct responses. If, however, you frequently responded āCā, you may consider advocating for values-based policies, and implementing practices that promote a diverse and culturally and linguistically competent service delivery system for LGBTQ children/youth and their families who require health, behavioral health, or other services and supports.
