Michelle Frye-Spray M.S., C.P.S, is the West Regional Associate Coordinator for Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT). In this role, she is responsible for providing training and technical assistance (T/TA) to the west region, comprised of 11 states, six pacific jurisdictions and eight SPF-funded tribes. Specifically, she is responsible for coordinating and delivery T/TA services for two western states and two SPF-funded tribes. Michelle collaborates with state and local prevention professionals, epidemiologists, evaluators, regional consultants, and other CAPT staff to support the use of evidence-based interventions to address substance abuse. Her expertise is grounded in over 20 years of prevention related experiences working with schools, communities, and states. Michelle received her MS in counseling and human resource development from South Dakota State University. She is also a Certified Prevention Specialist.
