Training and Technical Assistance Specialist
Erin Ficker is a Training and Technical Assistance Specialist for the Central Resource Team of SAMHSA’s CAPT. Prior to joining SAMHSA’s CAPT, Erin worked with Prevention First to provide training and technical assistance services to substance abuse prevention grantees throughout Illinois. She developed and facilitated both in-person and web-based trainings on evidence-based prevention practices, as well as grant reporting and requirements. Previously, Erin served as a program evaluator at the Center for Prevention Research and Development where, as part of a team, conducted annual evaluations of state prevention grantees. She also provided consultation and support for communities using data for community planning. Erin holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Evergreen State College.
