Instructional Designer and eLearning Specialist
As an instructional designer and eLearning specialist for the CAPT, David is responsible for providing instructional design and technical support for national webinars, online meetings and other virtual learning services and products. In addition to supporting the CAPT at a national level, David also conducts capacity development training for the individual CAPT regions, normalizing the use of best practices for virtual environments and promoting innovations in distance education.
David is also associate director for training with The Tribal Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center and a technical advisor for other programs within the Health and Human Development Division at EDC. Before joining EDC, David worked as an evaluator for a social service nonprofit organization ensuring contract/reporting compliance, database management, and maintaining donor relations. Prior to his nonprofit work, he was a financial services administrator for a university’s branch campus supporting distance learning programs. He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Eastern University and is completing a master of arts in theology from Drew University.
