Coordinator
As coordinator for the Central Resource Team, Chuck is responsible for managing and supervising the delivery of training and technical assistance (T/TA) to the service area’s 10 States and seven Tribes. He also works with Single State Agencies for substance abuse prevention to assess State-level needs, requirements for evidence-based programming, strategic planning, and the creation of T/TA systems. He previously served as coordinator for the Northeast Service Area.
Before joining the CAPT in 2008, Chuck was the Prevention Coordinator of the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where he was a member of the SPF SIG management team and facilitated the Massachusetts Epidemiological Workgroup. He also served as a CAPT Associate for seven years, providing expertise in strategic planning, coalition building, social marketing, and sustainability.
Chuck brings extensive experience providing T/TA to States and local grantees on behalf of the Minnesota Institute of Public Health. Additionally, he was Project Coordinator for the block grant-funded project Cambridge Prevention Coalition, implementing the environmental strategies-focused model program Communities Mobilizing for Change. Chuck earned his B.S.W. in social work from Moorehead State University.
