Epidemiologist
As Epidemiologist for the Southeast Resource Team, Carol provides training and technical assistance to Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG) grantees on epidemiology-related issues. She also collaborates with epidemiologists from the four other CAPT Resource Teams to ensure consistency in service across SAMSHA’s CAPT.
Carol has extensive experience in instrument design, data collection, and data analysis across multiple research and social service settings. She has collaborated on the evaluations of juvenile court systems, violence in schools, and the quality of substance abuse and violence prevention programs in schools, as well as participated in the redesign of the Drug Abuse Warning Network. In addition, she has worked on cross-site evaluations of SPF SIG programs. Carol earned her Ph.D. in sociology with a concentration in criminology and deviance from the University of Kentucky.
