As the CAPT Writer/Editor April writes a variety of materials, including content for the website. She helps generate, report, and write about the work of the CAPT, including the efforts of partners and funders. 

Her background includes extensive experience in journalism and marketing communications. She worked on the staff of a respected daily newspaper for many years and later, as a freelancer, she wrote articles for a spectrum of publications in areas such as education, women’s issues, environment, and the fine and performing arts. She also served as copy editor and proofreader for three textbooks dealing with Internet security and computer networking. April earned a B.A. in drama from Principia College in Elsah, Ill.
