Service to Science
The Western CAPT has offered Service to Science Academies throughout the past several years. Service to Science Academies help to broaden the base of evidence-based programs, practices and policies. They aim to provide substance abuse prevention providers with the education, tools and technical assistance needed to advance their programs along a continuum of evidence of effectiveness. The academies provide an avenue for participants to conduct an intensive assessment of their evaluation practices and create an individualized action plan that includes evaluation-oriented follow-up technical assistance (TA).
