Structure of the Republic of Palau
Information dissemination via print, community and school talks, radio and TV media. Organization has not documented specific prevention goals other than what is stated in the block grant. The goal is to draft a collaborative prevention plan for Palau based on assessment of needs. The target group is Palau citizens.

The mission of the Belau National Substance Collaboration Initiative is to provide effective substance abuse prevention and addiction treatment services to the people of Palau. This mission will be accomplished through:

  1. The collaborative efforts of all addiction counselors and agencies concerned with either prevention or treatment of substance abuse.
  2. Resource sharing.
  3. Staff skills development.
  4. Regular communications.
  5. The mutual dedication of caregivers to the well being of caregivers to the well being of the people of Palau.

One day later than Hawaii, and US Mainland, but seven hours earlier than Pacific Standard Time, (eight hours earlier during daylight savings time). For example, when it's 6:00 p.m. Monday in San Francisco (Pacific Standard Time), it's 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday in Palau.
