Training Overview

Science-Based Prevention

This training provides an overview of science-based prevention. Important concepts such as reach and strength are presented and illustrated through case examples, and the five levels of science-based prevention are provided to participants with program examples. The current Risk and Protective Framework and six CSAP Strategies are presented with an emphasis on the relationship of these models to the concept of science-based prevention. Sources of additional information and websites are provided to participants.

Target Audience:
Prevention providers, educators, and other stakeholders involved in prevention.
