Multidisciplinary Teams/Work

Overview of the art of developing successful multidisciplinary work teams, topics such as developing an integrated annual action plan to address substance abuse/use, the benefits and challenges of collaborative work, discussion of "stumbling blocks" across agencies, ensuring no duplication of services across agencies (resource assessment), deciding who has the "best interest" of substance abuse in the area and how to recruit them to the table
and how to evaluate the efforts (process through outcomes), can be addressed.

Target Audience:
Substance Abuse Prevention professionals line/program staff, as well as administrative and/or management staff.
 
Training Objectives:
Participants will increase their knowledge about developing successful multidisciplinary work teams. Specific objectives are developed based on the requesting organization’s needs.
 
Format:
Lecture/Presentation with discussion and/or group work.
Technical Assistance via telephone, email or face-to-face is available.

Generally 2 hours to half-day
