Evaluation: Making It Work for You

Most grants now require outcome evaluation as a condition of funding, yet most grant applicants and program implementers are not trained as evaluators. Learn the basics of evaluation so that you can more effectively hire and work with an evaluator to produce evaluation reports that will be meaningful for program improvement, accountability, and communication of successes to a variety of audiences. Topics considered include types of evaluation, evaluation design considerations, types of data used in evaluation, interpreting your outcomes, evaluation reporting, what you should expect from your evaluator, and communicating successful outcomes with evaluation data.
