Board Development

The premise of this training is that the boards are the engine of the coalition.

Target Audience:
Coalitions considering 501(c)3 status, Substance Abuse Preventionist
 
Training Objectives:
Participants will increase their skill base in order to:
  1. Develop an orientation process and manual that provides the members with the
    framework necessary to accomplish the work of the board.
  2. Differentiate the roles and deliverables of a board and a coalition.
  3. Differentiate the skill set needed for a board member from that of a coalition
    member.
Format:
Socratic with extensive group work in creating board member skills sets, orientation process and orientation manual.
 
Number of Participants:
15-25
 
Time Frame:
8 hours
