What is the process for requesting and receiving training or technical assistance?

Contact Linda Ryden to access Central CAPT services. Staff will discuss your needs and develop a plan for providing the assistance you have requested.

Who actually delivers the training or technical assistance?

After assessing your needs a qualified prevention professional from the Central CAPT staff or network of Associates will deliver the service that is requested. Central CAPT will work hard to match the correct person or persons to the specific request.

How do I know if I am eligible for these services?

Central CAPT is designed to assist states and communities within the Central region to bring research to practice through the following groups:

Do you credential people to be prevention specialists?

Central CAPT provides a Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training that can assist in becoming a Prevention Specialist, but Central CAPT is not a credentialing agency.

Will CAPT help me find grants?

Central CAPT can refer you to grantmaking agencies and in some cases provide technical assistance in applying for grants.

What is CSAP's Central CAPT Associates Network?

The Central CAPT Associates Network is a group of trained prevention specialists who are available to provide training and technical assistance to move science-based prevention into practice.
